Non-voting member of the General Partner. Thomas Byrne has practiced patent law for 15 years in two law firms and formerly was Patent Counsel at Genentech and Senior Patent Counsel at Amgen, both leading biotech companies located in California. Mr. Byrne operates his own consulting company offering services to biotechnology companies in the areas of intellectual property, contracts and business issues. Thomas Byrne holds two B.S. degrees, one in Chemical Engineering and one in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Virginia, an M.S. degree in Biochemical Engineering from Yale University and a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia.
